Anisha’s Wedding, Grand Velas Cabo

Guys, this wedding made me fall in love all over again. This post is picture-heavy, but I couldn’t narrow it down—everything just needs to be seen. I probably look back at this wedding more than my own. Grand Velas is one of my absolute favorite hotels EVER. Infinity pools, palm trees, shrimp tacos, tequila, lehengas, and fireworks. Truly SJ’s dream actualized. The Grand Velas team handed me a glass of champagne when we were checking in, and I just knew I was gonna be blessed the whole weekend.

They had SO much variety: fresh fruit, dipped strawberries, churros, sushi, Indian food—and they made sure the tequila never ran out!

I never had a moment to be hungry because there was something yummy within arm’s reach at all times.

2021 was the height of the picnic theme and she killed it!! Fluffy floor pillows, gorgeous floral centerpieces-I honestly felt like I walked into a dream. The soft colors, boho textures and the Cabo sun hit just right 💛

Pithi

Anisha and Nirav had a vibrant Pithi ceremony on the Grand Velas Cabo lawn overlooking the ocean. For this traditional ceremony, they had lush pastel rose garlands and wore the CUTEST smiles while they received blessings from their family, who smeared turmeric for well wishes!

Satak

The Satak ceremony took place at Terreza Del Mar, Grand Velas Cabo, with a sweeping view of the Sea of Cortez providing a stunning backdrop. Honestly, there was no competing with that view…unless you were part of this wedding party. I don’t know how they did it or how many shopping trips to India it took, but their outfits were all so pretty. LOOK at her parents’ white coordination and her sister’s pink! I cannot even 😍 With this elegant oceanfront setting and the hotel’s coordination, I spent a weekend in unparalleled luxury.

Wedding Ceremony

Nirav’s Baraat has to be the most aesthetic baraat I’ve ever seen. Grand Velas has amazing landscaping and his fit was just *it*. I love how the palms and the greenery complimented his route to the alter.

Reception

I was bawling when the daddy-daughter dance happened. The eldest daughter leaving really hits hard. I’d know, I am one, right? This sweet little moment also set unrealistic expectations when it was my turn—my dad was so happy when I left lol not one single tear was shed. It was all sighs of relief on his end. But anyway, the girls’ dance was straight fire. Jaws on the floor. The outfits gasp. I don’t think I’ve felt this many feelings in a year.

tbh I wasn’t even like an “omg I love weddings” girly and I think this was the wedding that changed that for me. The amount of fun, laughs, tequilla, tacos and love shared during this weekend is more than I expected during a wedding. I also realized Patel weddings aren’t like the rest- they’re elite.
