Tangalle is known for its gorgeous, dreamy escapes like Secret Beach. Obviously, it’s not such a secret anymore lol But I knew I’d want to get quieter, more peaceful beachtime after our visits to Galawatte and Hiritikeya Beach. After a casual first few Airbnbs, I just needed a luxe hotel stay. Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle is located on an impressive cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. It has a private beach, excellent service, multiple pools, and the best gym I’ve seen in Sri Lanka! Your room also comes with a personal butler! It was perfect for a relaxing transition between the thriving vibe of Sri Lanka’s southwest coast on our route to Udawalawe National Park.

Found the cutest life guard perch ever. There is always a lifeguard on site here at this beach! He was on his rounds so I decided to help out and keep watch from above. 🛟
