Rosa and Munther’s Wedding at Silverado Resort, Napa, California

This might be biased because Rosa and Munther are one of my favorite couples ever but they had the most beautiful wedding ever at the Silverado Resort in Napa. *Mashallah* From the classic Chinese porcelain vases to the personalized paper umbrellas, the details were so on point. The wedding venue, nestled in dreamy Napa Valley, was just a drive out of the Bay Area, making it perfect for a weekend getaway. Rosa did an unreal job blending Chinese, Palestinian, and American cultures together, and somehow it all came together SO aesthetically. Obviously, I expected good aesthetics when the couple looks like this hehe

The Venue

So about the Silverado Resort in Napa—it’s gorgeous! This place has so much history and charm, nestled right in the heart of Napa Valley. Very classy vibes with a hint of modern amenities to remain aesthetically relevant. Rolling up to this gorgeous spot surrounded by vineyards and lush hills, felt like a perfect start to our getaway weekend.

The whole vibe at Silverado Resort is super chill yet classy. You can walk around the beautiful grounds with a glass of wine in hand and just soak in the scenery. They also have golf carts that’ll get you back to your room from the grounds during the ceremony if you’re on a time crunch or handicapped. With its killer location, awesome history, and sweet amenities, the Silverado Resort in Napa is the perfect spot for a wedding. Seriously, if you’re looking for a wedding venue in Napa Valley, this place tops the list.

The Ceremony

Blending two cultures isn’t easy, so trust me when I say I have no idea how Rosa blended three, lol. She had to figure out a way to incorporate Chinese, Palestinian, and American elements into a wedding ceremony that would flow. And thank gawd she did it with bridesmaids because I personally invested a lot into this relationship as well, so there was no way I was not walking down this aisle with her HAHA.

The couple did their vows in private since vows aren’t typically included in a Muslim ceremony. They had an Imam, a Muslim priest, share some anecdotes, and the ceremony was a beautiful blend that highlighted their commitment to each other and their future. Rosa wore a beautiful embroidered shawl over her dress for the walk down the aisle and the ceremony. It took place on the lawn under two large trees called The Grove.  It’s a magical wedding venue nestled among towering trees and lush greenery. This serene and picturesque setting offers an intimate ambiance perfect for a romantic outdoor ceremony. The natural beauty of The Grove creates a stunning backdrop, making it an ideal choice for a memorable wedding celebration.

Silverado Resort in Napa excels at accommodating large cultural ceremonies like weddings. With its spacious grounds and versatile venues, the resort provides a stunning backdrop that can be customized to reflect various cultural traditions and celebrations. The staff is experienced in handling the unique needs of diverse ceremonies, ensuring every detail is perfect for your special day.

Reception

The Chinese pottery and elegant colors flowed into the reception, where everybody got their own ornamental souvenir from the seating chart. The couple entered with a lit AF entrance with Palestinian drummers. After being seated for a fire dinner at the chicest setup, we started with toasts. Tori cried, I cried, we all cried. Some people have a super easy walk down the aisle to their wedding. This wasn’t one of those walks. I guess this wedding hit so hard because I’ve seen so much of their relationship grow to a beautiful place. Like the whole squad in college, Rosa and Munther were wild AF and barely had their prefrontal cortexes formed when they decided to get in a relationship lol.

To see the growth these two have had over the years and the choices that they’ve made—especially to keep choosing each other week after week, month after month, year after year and now into the decades 🥹—to be really honest, I didn’t always root for the 18-year-old kid with a fro to end up with my best friend. But I’m SO happy that she didn’t listen to me lol. Munther is such a freaking diamond in the rough (Aladdin reference), and now I couldn’t be prouder to say he’s one of my best friends too. There is so much that these two have accomplished to make it to this wedding date, and I’m so lucky that I get a front row seat to watch them walk through life together.

The Grove at Silverado Resort features a dedicated area with a dance floor and seating for the reception. After the ceremony, the celebration moved seamlessly to this section, where guests found their names in little Chinese porcelain vases. Arabic poems were tucked away in the napkins at each seat. The drummers and Munther’s family also led us all in Dabke. It was SO much fun. I needa get more invites to Arab weddings lol

Toasts and speeches by our besties and their families were shared. They had the yummiest food ever (Lamb or Fish) followed by cake that I could eat endlessly. This gorgeous section of The Grove let the festivities continue effortlessly in the enchanting outdoor ambiance.

Staying at Silverado Resort in Napa

This was one of the smoothest destination weddings I’ve ever checked in for. At the Silverado Resort in Napa, you check in at the main entrance in the mansion, get your keys, and then golf carts take you to your room. The rooms are spacious and perfect for getting ready.

We had plenty of options and we chose to stay in a 1-bedroom suite. It was such a comfy spot to crash in after a lit reception. There are options to stay in 3 bedroom studios and houses as well. This resort has 2 golf courses that are exclusive to the resort guests. Beautifully maintained and a popular destination for many enthusiastic golfers. In fact, multiple guests stayed the rest of the weekend to enjoy the resort.

I love me some Rosa + Munther

This was one of the most fun weddings ever! Rosa put so much time and thought into the traditions that she included. Shoutout to her for not being the bridezilla that I briefly turned into lol idk how she did it, can’t relate. Bless.
